Partner with the tenth edition

400 to 600 delegates, nearly all of whom specify, approve or influence maintenance spend. Three days. One floor.

The case

This is not a general industry audience

Most conferences sell you reach. This one sells you concentration.

A Nigerian energy week puts 5,000 people in a hall, of whom perhaps 200 have anything to do with maintaining equipment. The Maintenance Summit puts 400 to 600 people in a hall, of whom almost all of them do.

If you sell rotating equipment, condition monitoring hardware, lubricants, CMMS or EAM software, inspection services, spares or technical training, the cost per qualified conversation here is lower than anywhere else in West Africa. That is the entire argument, and it is the one to take to your budget holder.

The Port Harcourt advantage

The Summit sits inside Nigeria's densest concentration of maintainable assets. NLNG at Bonny, Renaissance at Rumuobiakani, Indorama at Eleme, the terminals at Onne, and the refining and petrochemical corridor — all within an hour of the venue.

For delegates that means near-zero travel cost, which is why attendance holds up in a hard year. For you it means the decision-makers are local, reachable, and back at the plant on Thursday.

Ten editions of standing

Very few technical conferences in this region reach a tenth edition. The anniversary carries genuine press and social weight, and a headline sponsor's name is attached to that milestone permanently — in the programme, the communiqué and every retrospective published afterwards.

Sell-out risk is real on two items

There are only six workshop-host slots and one headline sponsorship. Workshop hosting sells first every year, because it is the one package that qualifies as training expenditure — see funding routes below.

Exhibition

The Maintenance Technology Expo

The exhibition floor runs alongside the whole programme, with every break and both lunches served on it.

That is deliberate. There is no separate exhibition hall that delegates have to be persuaded to walk to — the floor is where the conference eats, so footfall is the entire delegation, four times a day, for three days.

Around 20 booths and 12 tabletops are available. Booth positions are allocated in the order contracts are signed, and headline, platinum and gold sponsors choose before open sale.

Funding routes

This may not need to come out of a marketing budget

The single most useful thing to know before you take this internally.

NCDMB Project-Based Human Capacity Development

Operators and contractors executing Nigerian oil and gas contracts above the prescribed threshold are required to set aside a human capacity development budget drawn from contract cost, administered under the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board's project-based HCD regime.

Why this matters here: delegate blocks and workshop places are training expenditure. They can be purchased against an approved, ring-fenced capacity development line rather than a contested marketing budget — which is very often the difference between an approved purchase and a deferred one.

PTDF capacity development

The Petroleum Technology Development Fund supports technical capacity building in the Nigerian energy sector. It is a realistic route for underwriting a delegate cohort or a scholarship block, particularly for early-career engineers on the Young Professionals track.

CPD accreditation is the unlock

Attendance carries up to 24 structured CPD hours and up to 24 SMRP CPE points toward CMRP recertification, and has been accepted as structured CPD evidence by COREN, NSE, IMechE and IEEE.

For most corporate training approvals, formal CPD recognition is the condition that releases the budget. It is worth putting in the internal request.

How to structure the ask

The pattern that works: buy the workshop host slot and a delegate block from the capacity development line, and take only the booth and branding from marketing. Two smaller approvals from two different budgets clear far faster than one large one.

This is a summary of publicly documented funding mechanisms, offered as commercial guidance. Confirm the current thresholds, rules and eligibility with NCDMB, PTDF and your own finance and compliance functions before relying on them.

Next step

Talk to us

Tell us what you want out of the three days and we will put a package together, including combinations that are not on this page.

Packages can be tailored. If what you actually need is a private customer dinner, a branded demonstration area, or a co-hosted technical session with an operator, say so — most of the best sponsorships across ten editions were built rather than bought off the card.

Discounting policy, stated openly

We do not cut the price. Where there is room to move, it is given as added value — extra passes, a better booth position, an additional insert — so that the card holds for the eleventh edition and early committers are never worse off than late ones.
